An August wedding in Mon Repos Royal Baths

This perfect day began at a luxurious hotel in Benitses. Debbie & Colm both had two separate suite rooms; one for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in, and one for the groom and the boys to get themselves ready in.

The time whizzed by; whilst they were adorning themselves with their wedding attire, I was busy getting everything arranged and organised at the ceremony venue. Setting up the chairs, laying the carpet, arranging the table wherein the wedding certificate is signed, making sure the flowers are all there and are placed just so. There is not a seconds rest for me on the day, and I absolutely wouldn't have it any other way! Anyone who knows me knows what great pride I take in my little details, making sure that everything is perfect.

And on this day, it truly was what dreams are made of.

Debbie had always dreamed of arriving in a Vintage car, and so of course I made it my mission to make sure that that was what she got! Although I had originally booked an open top Volks Wagon Beetle for the lovely bride, we were warned about weather conditions forecasting a little rain for the day, so I managed to rearrange the car to a closed top the day before just in case. Debbie arrived to her day in utter style and loved her retro Volks Wagon Beetle.

Dreams really do come true!

She then walked into her dream day with her father by her side, whilst being serenaded by traditional Greek musicians. It was smiles all round!

With 80 guests, 10 of which were children, the chairs fit perfectly in this idyllic venue here in the heart of Corfu. Everyone stood up respectfully when the bride walked down the isle with her loving father, (who shed a tear handing her over to her soon to be husband, a beautiful moment to witness), and all sat down again to watch the ceremony with the most stunning backdrop.

A picture of perfect serenity: the Ionian Sea lapping gently against the beach, whilst surrounded by an abundance of lush greenery.

It really can't get better than this.

After organising and capturing the all important family and guest group photos, the photographer then hopped off with the new Mr & Mrs and took them to the lush gardens for some romantic portraits, while the guests followed the seating plan I had printed onto a large board and framed to help guide them to their seats for the reception buffet meal, with of course myself lending a helping organisational hand.

I had also set up a fun little table with Instax cameras, props and gifts, to accompany signing the book for the happy couple!! I loved the sign that I had printed framed for the guests to take a photo with the Instax cameras I provided, and I loved this table theme as well, as so did everyone else!

Then came the absolute showstopper... not many words needed here!

I had a blast organising for these sparklers to be how our Mr & Mrs walked into their reception meal, and I think it's safe to say they had an absolute blast as well! After an incredible buffet meal, (weddings are hungry work!!) the photographer snuck away with the happy couple again for some more portraits while the tables were cleared in preparation for the speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance. They went down onto the jetty leading off from the venues own little beach... can this place get any better?!

This perfect day ended with some heartfelt speeches accompanied by delicious cake, made by my very best cake maker. A 3 tier naked wedding cake, which tasted like pure heaven. The guests loved it!!

After a first dance to remember forever, everyone hit the dance floor; everyone being 80 Irishmen I might add, you can only imagine what an awesome party it was with that crowd!!

Mr & Mrs also wanted an after party with a 3am finish.. well past my bedtime! And past the bedtime of most venues in here in Corfu, however I made sure that I made it happen for them for their dream day, and I even arranged transportation for them to the following venue and to drop everyone home again.

Debbie & Colm. Thank you for entrusting me with your dream day. I had the most wonderful time organising everything for your wedding. Every tiny detail that went into making this to be the best day of your lives. From the minute we spoke on the phone, I knew that I had to pull out my best tricks to make this day perfect for you, as Debbie, you're a woman who deserves the world.

Cheers to you two. I'll never forget you.
